Hi, I'm Corey — the hands and heart behind Alex & Co Handmade. I started this little business in 2018 as a fun hobby while raising my toddler son, Alex (yes, the shop is named after him!). Crocheting became my lifeline through the postpartum season — a creative outlet that brought me joy and calm during one of life's most beautiful, challenging chapters.

I first picked up a crochet hook at age 12, crocheted through high school, and fell back in love with it while expecting Alex. The 'Co' in our name? It was always meant to be part of my name — not 'company' like most people assume. But now that my daughter Elaine has joined our family, Co feels like it belongs to her too. So many of my designs are inspired by what I imagine she'd love to have.

These days I create a lot of girly things for Elaine — though my best seller is actually a mallard duck lovey for boys, so clearly the little ones keep me on my toes! Every piece I make is crafted with hand custom detail and a whole lot of love.
